Gadot played Gisele in three installments, while Diesel has portrayed Dominic Toretto for an impressive 16 years. While Gadot has a young daughter named Alma with her husband Yaron Varsano, Diesel shares two children with his girlfriend Paloma Jimenez, a six-year-old son named Vincent and a two-year-old daughter named Pauline. Both stars have enjoyed a successful summer at the box office, despite a mixed season for other releases.

This makes it the highest-grossing live-action movie ever directed by a woman, with Patty Jenkins at the helm. The previous record was held by Phyllida Lloyd’s Mamma Mia!, which earned $609.8 million. While Vin Diesel’s The Fate of the Furious has earned over $225 million domestically, its international earnings of over $1.23 billion place it as the 11th top-earning film of all time.
