Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson shared the screen in the movie We Bought A Zoo, where they played the roles of lovers. However, the actor recently joked about the “hell” he faced while kissing Scarlett, due to her onion breath. He shared that the moment was “horrible” and it happened after she had an onion sandwich. The film was released back in 2011.
In a recent video interview with Emily Blunt, Matt Damon discussed his upcoming movie Oppenheimer. They were asked a series of questions, including whether they would tell someone if they had bad breath. Both agreed that the person should be made aware and Damon even shared a story about a similar experience he had with Scarlett Johansson.
In a light-hearted manner, the man who is 52 years old shared his experience of having to kiss his co-star after she had eaten onions for lunch, without realizing that they needed to reshoot the scene. He commented that it was quite unpleasant and humorously referred to it as “hell”. In his conversation with Lad Bible, he mentioned that both he and his co-star thought that the filming was completed, and they went for lunch.
During the filming of a kissing scene, Scarlett Johansson had just finished eating an onion sandwich for lunch. As she walked onto the set, Cameron Crowe had already set up the camera for a tight shot of the kiss. Realizing her mistake, she exclaimed, “Oh no! I just had an onion sandwich!” This caused some distress for her co-star, who joked about her breath for the rest of the scene.
Christopher Nolan’s latest film, Oppenheimer, features the return of Matt to the silver screen.
