Lingerie brand Bluebella has conducted a study on the figures of prominent celebrities, and found that Scarlett Johansson is currently the closest to physical perfection among them. The 30 year-old actress has been found to have the perfect figure according to the Golden Ratio, an ancient Greek belief that there is a specific proportion for all things that approach perfection.
According to a recent study conducted by lingerie brand Bluebella, Scarlett Johansson is considered to have a physical appearance that is almost perfect. Her bust, waist, and hip measurements scored a 96.4% against the Golden Ratio of beauty, which has been hailed as the standard for beauty for thousands of years. This ratio has been applied to facial features in the past, but this is the first time it has been used to determine perfection in the female figure. Kim Kardashian followed closely behind with a score of 96.3%, while Helen Mirren took third place with a score of 95.6%.
Kim Kardashian’s well-known curves earned her second place in the Bluebella study. The study also examined historical celebrities and found that Marilyn Monroe ranked fourth with a figure only six percent below the ideal. Women with curvier figures were favored in this analysis, with Kelly Brook ranking fifth. However, more athletic frames were also recognized, with actress Cameron Diaz coming in sixth with a 91 percent rating and model Elle Macpherson taking seventh place with an 88.3 percent rating. Actress Salma Hayek followed closely behind Elle in eighth place with an 88 percent rating, and Katy Perry came in ninth with a 92 percent rating. Some celebrities had higher or lower ratings than the perfect Golden Ratio of 1.618, but Scarlett Johansson’s score was the closest. Bluebella discovered the Golden Ratio by accident while researching sizing options for their upcoming women’s underwear collection. When examining photos of famous women, they discovered that all were within +/- 10 percent of the Golden Ratio, despite their differing shapes and figures. Emily Bendell, the founder of Bluebella, stated that the company conducts extensive research to ensure that their lingerie fits perfectly and that they understand body shape trends.

Interestingly, the research revealed that actress Scarlett Johansson has a figure that closely matches the perfect Golden Ratio. The study calculated the Golden Ratio by overlaying a grid over full-length photos of female celebrities and mapping their bust, waist, and hips. Emily Bendell, the founder of Bluebella, expressed that beauty does not solely rely on having a thin and model-like physique. To determine the corresponding ratio, a mathematical formula was utilized by adding the differential figure of the bust and waist to the hip-waist differential figure, which was then divided by the same differential figure. The bust/waist figure was calculated by subtracting the narrowest point of the waist from the widest point of the bust and then multiplying it by the distance from the highest point of the bust to the lowest point of the waist. This value was then halved to obtain the differential figure. The same process was followed to calculate the hip/waist differential figure.
